Monitor the Active Asset
========================

Use **Monitor** to watch the live map, telemetry overlays, flight
instruments, and stream status for the connected asset.

**Navigation:** Menu > ``Monitor``

Before You Start
----------------

- Connect an asset in **Comm Links** first.
- Some overlays depend on **GCS Settings > General** and may be hidden if
  those view toggles are off.

Steps
-----

1. Open **Monitor** from the main menu after the asset is connected.

2. Review the live instruments and telemetry panels to confirm the app is
   receiving flight data.

3. Check the stream panel to confirm video status. If the source is
   unavailable, the monitor page reports the stream problem directly.

4. If the asset disconnects, expect the monitor page to lose live context
   until the connection is restored.

.. note::

   When map markers or editable shapes are selected, GCS-beXStream can open an
   information panel inside the map overlay. That panel is state-dependent and
   appears only when a selectable item is available.

Expected Result
---------------

The map centers on the active asset, telemetry values update in real time, and
the monitor panels reflect the current stream and flight state.

Troubleshooting
---------------

- If telemetry values stay static, return to **Comm Links** and confirm the
  asset is still connected.
- If the stream panel reports an error, review the asset's **Stream Source**
  and the stream diagnostics under **GCS Settings > Stream**.
- If expected overlays are missing, check the view toggles in
  **GCS Settings > General**.
